tamaraq: your question isn’t the same, because your baby IS on a proper dose of prevacid, lol.
but, to answer you, yes you can give zantac, too, making sure to give it spaced 4hrs from the prevacid.
highest dose of zantac is 10mgs per kilo
10.7lbs = 4.7kilos
4.7 x 10 = 47mgs a day of zantac
bottle says 15mgs/ml
so 47 divided by 15 = 3.1 mls total for the day of zantac
you can give this in uneven doses, giving a higher dose when it’s more needed i.e. in the evening or when he wakes up screaming at night

also: could it be diet?? are you breastfeeding or formula feeding?
if baby has sensitivities to proteins, then this can make the reflux worse.
if you’re on the max dose of prevacid w/ bufferbabies, you might want to take a look at diet. also try some probiotics in the meantime?
