My 8 weeks old is on zantac. Has anyone else noticed that it seemed to stop the silent reflux but increase the actual spitting up? She’s even more like a gizer but definately seems to grimace less. Weird.

there have been reports of silent refluxers turning to spitters once they start meds- haven’t heard it about zantac per se,- have heard it about PPIs- probably means baby is more comfortable- it’s not burning- so baby doesn’t swallow it back down- just lets it come up…just a thought, no scientific data to back this up lol

That makes sense. Plus, if it looks like a positive step with her reflux I will take it! It is heartbreaking when she grimaces from her reflux!
