Well, at least now I know it is the zegerid, since Landen is 100% healthy. We just had his well baby this past Thursday and the rsv is gone and he has not been in daycare. He is indeed 100% well.
He took 36mg zegerid for 2 days and in those 2 days my silent refluxer began puking entire feeds, screaming with gas pain, no longer slept, etc etc etc. I thought the 40mg packets would help (we tried 20mg the first time) but no, doesn’t look like sodium is a thing his stomach can handle.I feared we may be stuck with it for the month, but I found a few samples of the Nexium I still had and boy, was he happy to see the syringe of lemony suspension this morning
. He’s napping now. I guess I’ll have to bum samples off of GI or something to get us through the month.Oh well, now I can say I know he wasn’t sick with a virus the first trial, he was sick with sodium overload
. Poor kid. I know it works wonders for many many babies, just not mine.

is your little one on the rigth dose according to marci-kids website?You can also use a combo. Kendra did better on Prevacid solutab and zantac. She couldn’t tolrate a higher dose of prevacid, but a combination worked well. We switched from prevacid b/c it seems to give her tummy and poo trouble. It has lactose and aspartame in it.LeoJill, i am sorry Zegerid didn’t work for your little one. You know Leo, I’ve kind’ve noticed the same thing with Landen. he seems to do best with a combo of Nexium (10mg split twice daily) and Pepcid complete before bed.
Pepcid complete makes him sleeeeeep too!!!
