Zegerid OTC – how to administer

I want to start using Zegerid OTC for my 10 pound one month old. I have not been able to find a clear answer on using the OTC stuff in infants. The explanation for using Zegerid rx on marci-kids is awesome, but my pedi is very reluctant to prescribe any PPIs. DD is currently on 7.5mg of Prevacid once a day, and it clearly isn’t working… that was the strongest dose our pedi would allow! I’m not going to just sit around with my baby screaming her head off, so I need to do something on my own.

So, what do I need? Zegerid OTC capsules obviously. Buffer babies? CaracreamZ? Cherry Mylanta?

How do I do this? Help please!

I’ll go ahead and answer my own question. We ordered the caracreamz from bufferbabies.com, and the instructions for mixing were SUPER easy. No need to worry at all. Just mix and serve.

hellbent- I finally had a chance to read through some of that information. So hard when you have a refluxing baby and a teething toddler. Ack! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
