InactiveOK I just saw a commercial for it. So what’s the deal with it? Can we use it like Prevacid or Prilosec OTC? My 6 mo old is on OTC Prevacid but the 30 minute rule is a little annoying. I do have BB too but baby hates it. Does Zegerid have a 30 minute rule too?
TIA!April 6, 2010 at 2:34 pm #66140Anonymous
InactiveZegerid is immediate release and should be able to be taken with food with no problem (despite what my daughter’s idiot GI said!). You can find out more on the website. I wish they’d had this when we were going through this reflux craziness last year; it was awful trying to give her medicine on an empty stomach, then waiting another 20 minutes to feed her…

Keymasteryes, but you should check http://www.marci-kids.com for dosage, as zegerid is ‘prilosec’ and your baby has been on prevacid…
also, I would email dr philips to make sure about how to administer the zegerid best (& then report back! lol! but seriously.)
