Zegerid Side Effects

Is anyone awhere of any side effects to zegerid. Bens reflux has never been sucessfully treated with anything including meds. He has slept more in the last few days than anytime? Does it make them sleepy? or have any other side effect anyone knows of.

Is he feeling any better? Maybe he is sleeping more because the pain is getting better (hopefully that is the case). As far as side effects go, the only thing that we noticed (and several others as well) is a little looser poopy which seems to get better with time. You could email Dr. Phillips and ask for sure but that is all we noticed.

Evan started sleeping more soon after we started the Zegerid, he was also not as easily startled. This is a good thing!!! And, I second Robin with regard to the loose stools, although Evan’s have gotten much better with time.

Great question…Sarah has been on Zegerid for about a month and she’s gone from being a 30 minute napper several times a day to 2-3 hour naps! I didn’t think about it being a side effect from the Zegerid, I took it to mean that she was feeling SOO much better! That would be my guess with Ben also! I am still soooooooooooo thrilled and grateful to have found a medicine that works for her. EVERYONE we know can’t stop talking about our “new” baby and the wonderful changes they notice in her! It’s amazing! I hope Zegerid is the answer for Ben as well.
