okay….i am curious…if i were to get prilosec and mix it with caracream, would it be exactly like zegerid? my understanding is that it would be.

It wouldn’t taste the same. Plus if your talking otc prilosec you have to get special instructions on how to mix it. But it would make it like zegerid.

no no not the taste i dont really care about that. i know caracream is caramel flavor. and i woulndt use otc prilosec, i will get a script.

im talking about the way it would work-it would be exactly like zegerid?

yes. they are the same.

caracream is the predescessor of zegerid.

caracream can be used with any PPI.

zegerid, however, has the drug that is prilosec.

zegeris was developed and sold to another company, santaurus or something like that. when it was sold, a non-compete clause was signed; that’s why you can’t get caracream (as readily) anymore because it competes with zegerid. the non-compete agreement is not binding overseas, that’s why folks in other countries can get caracream…

I emailed marci kids and they said they would send me some caracream- haven’t recieved it yet but are hopeful!!!
