Inactiveohh and the ingredients includes soy protien concentrate.. instead of soy protien isolate as in all the other formulas and milks.
i wonder what the difference is??

Inactiveohhhh. i looked it up on their site :
“Other non-organic soy formulas use a harsh chemical process to eliminate complex soy sugars that are known to cause discomfort to a baby’s developing digestive system. In fact, if an organic soybean was chemically converted into “soy isolate” it would no longer qualify as organic. For that reason, Nature’s One® has innovated a process that naturally achieves the same result while maintaining the nutritional balance and harmony of the soybean as nature intended.
Baby’s Only Organic® SOY Toddler Formula is not made with genetically modified soybeans. Organic soybeans are farmed using organic farming methods that prohibit the use of chemical fertilizers and insecticides.”

KeymasterI think that if shane is still refluxing then if you were to add oil to his rice/soy/almond milk then it’s dangerous bcse of possible aspiration?
is he still refluxing? is adding oil an option? or maybe add oil to something else (on a consistant regular basis I mean)?
just thinking out loud…

Inactiveyes he still refluxes.. not too much.. but once in a while.. one day he will reflux a lot.. usually though its silent reflux’s.
i do give him flax and fish oil every once in a while.. it does make his reflux worse.. so i only do it like once or twice a week.
another thing that the almond and rice is low in is protien.. more the rice.. sooo low. soo i am not sure how i would make up for that just yet.. thats why i am “trying” to do the soy toddler formula. ugh, he is just being a stinker drinking it… even with the vanilla rice! i thought it would be like a milk shake!haha
i guess i am wrong. May 27, 2007 at 9:57 am #34610Anonymous

Inactivethanks laura! i am going to give the soy formula/rice milk a little while to see if i see any improvements.. if not i really want to try the goats milk.. and if that doesnt work than i will just to almond or rice and really think of every way possible to boost his protine/ fat level. i am just bummed because shane has ONLY been wanting to eat toast! or anything like toast!! haha. soo it really worries me. he is having a REAL texture issue.
thanks again for those links.
