Reciepe that does not add the brown rice syrup is mixing it as a subsitute for whole milk. Children do not go on whole milk alone until they are at least 1 years old. Infants are typically on formula until then so they get more calories since they do not have a variety of foods just yet. I used the concentrated goats milk, mix it up in a tupperware container with a pour spout and it put it in the refridgerator it is good up to 48 hours just like any ready to feed formula no difference. If you get the refridgerated goats milk you want the whole milk one since that one has higher fat content which is what you want your baby to have. That’s possible. I hadn’t thought of that. I looked at the can and you’re right…just whey protein. Maybe I’ll just keep him on the Good Start for a few more months and then try milk again.
Thanks Kathleen. I guess it’s not that uncommon. I felt some pressure to get him on whole milk because his doc was pushing it, but I’m not going to worry about it for a few more months. He does well on Good Start, so why not keep him on it, right?
