My GI as well thought Prevacid was a much more effective med than Prilosec. I guess it depends on the baby, though…..

I just wanted to let you all know that I broke down and took Justice to the ped yesterday. You mommas were right! He has a double ear infection. It just didn’t seem right to me, but it’s true. I should have listened and taken him earlier. I just don’t like going to the ped all the time. There is usually nothing they can do for us anyway, but in this case they could so I am glad I took him.

You moms really know your stuff. It all seemed like his reflux just acting up to me. Now though I don’t know if it has been an ear infection all this time. I am going to try to take him off his zegerid again in Jan. Bad time for an ear infection to set in since I was trying to see if he needed his meds. Oh well.

Shelby – I am SOOOO happy that you were able to figure out what was bothering Justice! I mean, I’m sorry it’s a double ear infection…but I’m THANKFUL because that explains so much! Poor little guy! At least it’s treatable. I can understand your frustration about trying to quit the meds and now wondering if he was just sick…grrr….it’s never easy, is it?

Anyway, I’m glad you took him to the doctor and I hope he feels better sooooooooooooooooooooon!

shelby! im glad they figured it out!!
we havent tried the zantac yet cause the pharmacy had to order this special stuff for it and it takes a few days to make i guess. im getting it either today or tomorrow, im waiting for their call.
