Inactivewe never had a chance to go trick or treating, though we should have the last two years…but hannah was either sick, sleeping or both! so this year, the concept is more than clear to her and she literally poured over a costume catalog for two weeks before selecting a thomas the tank engine. i was skeptical when i ordered it. i was even more skeptical when we got it, basically a foam sandwich board and skimpy hat (we added blue face paint to the mix to spice it up). hannah on the other hand has already gotten enough wear out of it for about 5 kids. although she didn’t make it to the town parade last week (she suddenly decided she was scared of the dark, i was out of town on business, and my exhausted husband couldn’t convince her), she has already worn it to two b-day parties as well as anytime beside mealtimes since. btw — we have practiced going out with a flashlight and she is anxiously anticipating all of the candy.
as for the allergy issues, i love lynn’s solution to trade in candy for a gift. we will do something similar, although i am afraid that this week will bring another 5lb gain for me!!

InactiveThis is such a fun topic! Since Sarah is only 6 months old, I’m not doing much in the way of a costume. My little brother attends the University of Illinois and we’re huge Illini basketball fans so I think I might dress her up in a cheerleading outfit my brother got for her. We even have orange and blue pom poms! It wasn’t meant as a Halloween costume…but why not!
I have been so busy lately and don’t post questions/responses on here very often but I do come back and read posts just about everyday! I can’t wait to see the pictures of all of your kiddos!

InactiveBecky, that’s so cute about the Thomas outfit! And funny too, because I thought I had the only 3 year old girl who didn’t want to be a princess, Cinderally, Belle, Jasmine, The little mermaid, or a fairy!
When I dropped Sarah off at school today in costume, it was all a blur of spiderman’s and princesses- I’ve never seen so much pink and so many wands and wings. Sarah was checking it out, and I thought that she was going to throw a tantrum when she noticed that she was the only girl who wasn’t a princess. But not my Sarah… she just ran into the room and yelled “UP UP AND AWAY…. I’m a supergirl” while Hailey ran after her in her bunny costume yelling “bye bye”.
I love Halloween, so cute!

InactiveJill, you have to share your photos by sending them to yourself, then click the link in your email and then paste that link for us. I couldn’t figure it out either. Lori (S&H’s mum) posted how to do it.
