there are many who have found great success with it- I would do a search (search button is up on right hand corner of this screen) & learn from the wisdom of past posters who are no longer posting bcse their babies are fine now

yes i would stop the actual milk, because the intolerance I gave you links for above is a PROTEIN intolerance, not a lactose intolerance- so it might just be that your baby is intoleranct (or even allergic) to milk and/or soy PROTEINS (not lactose which is a milk ‘sugar’)- I hope this makes sense & the liks above really should help you a lot

about 40% of babies who cannot tolerate milk proteins cannot tolerate soy either, so perhaps the soy is bothering him?

if she had a swallow study, then you should have been told what exact consistancy the formula needs to be- there are thickening agents like Simply Thick that come in the thicknesses they find baby needs in the Swallow Study, like ‘nectar’ consistancy, ‘honey’ consistancy etc

try switching slooowly. give the nutrimigen w/ maybe an ounce of neocate. do this for a few days. then add another ounce of neocate, etc. slowly, until the bottle is neocate…

you’re the mama. if there has ben no test to verify DEGE (delayed gastric emptying) & you’re not comfortable giving the medicine, then don’t.
my baby was prescribed reglan (also for DGE) & after researching I took him off of it.
I would concentrate on getting a PPI or even some zantac in the meantime.

my son who had apena episodes had them irregardless of when he ate-he would reflux any time time of day- his was a ‘classic’ case of an immature LES- it just opened & stayed opened I suppose, whenever it wanted to & had nothing to do with his eating…
