yes if you’re worried about aspiration there is a swallow study that looks to see how the baby swallows
oftentimes after a swallow study the parents learn that the formula needs to be thickened & to what exact consistancy- in those cases usually simply thick is used

if you’re happy with the nexium then stick with it at a higher dose- you can always try switching to zegerid if a higher dose of nexium doesn’t work

I would try reglan if you think it’s delayed gastric emptying, DGE, as that’s what reglan is for. there is an actual test for DGE called a milk scan (has another name too). I would go back to the old formula and and add an ounce of the neocate to it & slooowly switch from the old formula to the new…

ok that’s 3.9 kilos
max zantac is 10mgs per kilo
so 10 x 3.9 = 39mgs total for the day of zantac

it’s 15mgs per ml
so that’s 2.6mls a day total of zantac he can have at the ‘highest’ dose

he’s on 2mls a day & so therefore can have an ‘extra’ .6ml a day…

I would see about starting a PPI…

has she gained weight at all? there was a time that jonah outgrew his dose at every little weight gain & his meds needed to be increased…

I’m not sure how to compare the tums vs mylanta- tums were easier once he was older…I felt like I had to give a lot of mylanta (5mls is a teaspoon) at a time vs broken up tums…
not sure about the probiotics either…you could try giving them again & see what happens? wish I could be more of a help!

I broke a tums up into quarters (jonah has a LOT of teeth prety early, lol!) and now there’s even quick dissolve tums-
I’d break it up into quarters and just give a quarter here, a quarter there, up to two complete tums I’d say…

as for the pepcid complete, dissolve it in water and try giving it that way- 1/2 a tablet to start…

reglan and zantac seem to be the first meds prescribed by peds, “Just Because.” It’s probably just what they were taught and that’s that. Jonah was even prescribed reglan in the nicu and they had DONE testing and they pretty much knew he didn’t have DGE. at that age (& earlier) I gave tums…something to try- there are certain flavors that are mspi safe as well
