from all that I’ve learned in the past 4 years, there are not very many drugs that are approved by the FDA for babies…someone please correct me if I’m wrong…

you probably want to cut out all milk and soy- including hidden soy- there is a list of ingredients- go look at the ‘main’ maspi page- it’s stickied in the mspi forum

know going in what exactly you want & TELL the dr, don’t ask. say: according to the latest research, PPI dosing is __mgs per kilo & bryce weighs __lbs, which is __kilos, so he should be getting __mgs a day of PPI. thank you.

make sure the zantac dose is at the highest it can be (if it’s not helping at whatever dose it’s at now)
zantac dose is 5-20mgs per kilo
take baby’s weight & divide by 2.2 for kilos
then take kilo weight & multiply by 10

I am saying to start at the higher dose, at 15mgs per day. I thought from her post, the dr suggested trying 7.5 and then moving up to 15mgs a day, but, at second glance, the dr only said 7.5mgs & never mentioned going higher…so I do say to start at 15 & go from there…then fax the doctor to ask for an even higher dose if it’s necessary…sorry…[Read more]
