at 10mgs/kilo: 10 x 10.5 = 105mgs a day total
syrup is 15ms/ml, so 105/15 = 7
7mls a day of zantac divided up over the course of the day however you want to try
maybe 3.3 at bedtime & 2 other doses of 1.85 during the day?

you can’t really over do it w/ mylanta- you know it’s too much when there’s loose stools…

and keep giving the zantac (spaced 2-5hrs apart from the prevacid) for a good 2 weeks until you can see the full effect of the prevacid!

try for caracream? (how to do this is in ‘prevacid 101’) bcse it doesn’t have to be timed w/ meals & can be used w/ prevacid

not sure if it’s allergic or intolerant- either way sounds like you should hold off before trying squash again?

well, aside from the side effects, there *should* be a REASON for Reglan & that reason more often than not is DGE (Delayed Gastric Emptying)…Reglan does NOTHING for the pain…
my educated guess is that the zantac dose could be higher as well, for it is very weight sensitive…it’s 5-10mgs per kilo

reglan and zantac seem to be the first meds prescribed by peds, “Just Because.” It’s probably just what they were taught and that’s that. Reglan is for Delayed gastric Emptying. try a 1ml syringe- we love these! then put in along the inside of the cheek & squirt way back there, then (thank you ndrose) as you’re squirting (or stop for a second), shift the syringe across the tongue to the other side (staying ‘back’ there) & squirt- keep doing this- this confuses ’em & makes it go down easier

I’ve been known to pile beanie babies/stuffed animals on top of jonah, so I’m all for a weighted blanket…

yeah, well the nurse doesn’t have to live w/ a baby that is feeling like he isn’t on any medication at all- I learned the HARD way by not givingthe zantac while waiting for the PPI to show it was working…

we tried at 9months & then were able to do it at 12 months (well, still needed some zantac on an ‘as needed’ basis & some tums…)

my ped gi said zantac & mylanta were fine- he even suggestd mixing a little mylanta w/ the zantac to help w/ the taste…we did this w/o problems…
