ok, let me try & help with the confusion…

if it’s weight then some ‘good fats’ are great- avocado, things cooked in olive oil & avocado oil…he’s 9 months now right? he can start to eat proteins like beans, meat, poultry…

I’m not sure why you can’t do the 3 bottles at home? dehydration reasons?
get him to drink water out of a sippy while at daycare?
how long is he at daycare?

the medications don’t stop spit up or vomiting, they help with the pain
is your baby in pain?

22lbs is 10kilos
max zantac dose is 10mg/kilo
so he can have 100mgs a day
zantac liquid is 15mgs/ml
so that’s 6.7mls a day total at the max dose that he can have
maybe try 5mls at night & see if it helps?
make sure it’s given at least 4hrs seperate frm the prevacid

mylanta cherry supreme is otc- it’s for adults- get the cherry supreme kind, as it doesn’t contain aluminum- you cannot overdose your baby with this- if you give too much it results in loose stools, that’s ‘all’

a PPI is a proton pump inhibitor like prilosec, prevacid, nexium, protonix

there have been reports of silent refluxers turning to spitters once they start meds- haven’t heard it about zantac per se,- have heard it about PPIs- probably means baby is more comfortable- it’s not burning- so baby doesn’t swallow it back down- just lets it come up…just a thought, no scientific data to back this up lol

personally iwould not try it unti lwe hear back from dr philips- he a Pharm.D & his expertise is compounding PPIs
